FalconNet is the University of Montevallo’s secure, enterprise-grade wireless network. We have over 1000 Ruckus Wireless Access Points deployed across campus and along Main Street in downtown Montevallo.
Students, Faculty and Staff device connections may be established by using a UM username and password to authenticate and download an SSL certificate to the device.
Visitors to campus may connect their devices by passing a verification process with either an email or phone number.
UMGaming is an open network intended for game consoles, streaming media devices, and various devices that are unable to connect using the more secure protocols. Connections are established by authenticating with a UM username and password and entering the device’s Wi-Fi MAC Address.
ENROLL YOUR DEVICE(S)
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your device and connect to UMConnect.
- Open a web browser and go to xps.tgpj.net.
- Agree to terms and conditions.
- Select whether you are registering as:
- student, faculty/staff, visitor or gaming device.
- Login with your UM username and password.
The device(s) operating system will automatically be detected and provided with a link to download the appropriate application. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the SSL certificate file and connect to FalconNet. Apple devices must use the Safari web browser for enrollment.
